It did have a bit of powder coat baked into the bolt holes, but that was quickly remedied. It fit nicely on my 2011 F250 4x4 Superduty (despite not being listed in Amazon's parts fit list beyond 2009 models). I removed the lower air dam before installing the hitch receiver, then just cut a square hole in the plastic to reinstall around the receiver rather than making a deep notch as the instructions state.The design is similar to those offered by Curt and some other manufacturers. It is identical to the Draw-Tite 65049 and the Hidden Hitch 65049. The Reese website has the correct picture for the 65049. It mounts to the end of the frame, on the outside surfaces. For some reason the hitch tube drops down under the bumper rather than emerging through the huge gaping hole in the center of the bumper.
