Cheapest Reese Towpower 65031 Front Mount Hitch Receiver Did NOT FIT 2004 TundraBy Wesley EverettAfter going to the considerable hassle of unstalling skid shield, unpacking this "guaranteed to fit" beast and hoisting it up under my Tundra, found that the hitch assembly is too wide by 1/4 to 1/8" to get the main four mounting bolts in. Nice. Now I'm left with the significant hassle of returning a gigantic, 42-pound item via UPS. Caveat emptor. BTW, I have seen other users online who say they have put this hitch on a Tundra, so I'm guessing the one I got is just defective. But the fact it went out the door of Draw-Tite/Reese that far out of spec is disturbing. The other major model, made by Curt, probably will fit, but sits farther back under the bumper and requires an extender piece to mount front bumper accessories.Update to this review: I have since purchased the Curt hitch for same vehicle. It did fit, with a bit of force applied. But it was also a close call, so the mounting holes on my particular Tundra may be out of spec.
